"Black Lens was created with a singular focus: to spotlight the incredible work of African-American filmmakers by bringing their films to the Milwaukee Film Festival. Featuring work from emerging and established African-American filmmakers, this program explores fictional stories and documentary topics rooted in the black community but relevant to all. Now in its fourth year as a part of the Milwaukee Film Festival, Black Lens is the only major film program in the country to exclusively showcase the work of African-American filmmakers.  The 2017 Milwaukee Film Festival runs from September 28 - October 12.
